Top tips

Borough Market - this is a must when visiting London! It is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London offering a mix of local and international produce with over 100 stalls. The full market is open Wednesday - Saturday. Some of the stand-out things to try are the famous doughnuts from Bread Ahead Bakery, Toasted Cheese sandwiches from Kappacasein, delicious oysters from Richard Haward's Oysters as well as the amazing street food, fruit and veg, cured meats, cheeses and baked goods you'll find. Dedicate a few hours!

Maltby Street Market Located under the railway arches in the exciting Bermondsey area, Maltby Street is one of London's most exciting markets, small in size and packed with quality vendors. A must see on the weekend if you're South of the river.
Pizaro With a daily tapas bar at the front, and a restaurant at the back, Pizarro serves seasonal Spanish food at its best. Owner Jose Pizarro is a local legend, who is known for his classical Spanish dishes and imported ingredients. The exciting menu changes regularly while keeping a few of his signature dishes. If you feel like joining a few locals afterwards - stop in for a drink and some tapas at his small but bustling tapas bar, Jose, just down the road on Bermondsey Street. Guests staying at the Residence Inn – London Bridge receive a complimentary glass of Cava or sherry when booking and dining at Pizarro. Be sure to ask at reception for the exclusive code to make the most of this!
Santo Remedio Serving traditional Mexican food with a tequila and mezcal bar, you're guaranteed to have a great time at Santo Remedio. They've recently re-opened in London Bridge after moving from their Shoreditch earlier this year. Try some mexican wine, try some of the best guacamole in London and enjoy their exciting list of tacos.
Padella Backing on to Borough Market, you'll see Padella, usually with a fast moving queue outside looking for their quick pasta fix. A beautiful restaurant with no fuss, serving fresh, hand-made pasta packed full of flavour. Order the 8 hour beef shin ragu and thank me later!
El Pastor This London Bridge Taqueria has been gaining rave reviews since opening a year ago. Authentic Mexican in a stunning location under the railway arches. Pop in for a few tacos and make sure you order their signature Taco El Pastor!

An industrial designed restaurant with a charcoal grill and wood burning smoker situated in the middle sets the tone for a serious meal! Dish to order - Their classic USDA brisket bun.
Broadway Market on a Saturday One of the most enjoyable markets in London and a great way to spend a Saturday. Live like a local and head here for a Farmer's style Market as well as some of the City's most exciting street food. Don't forget about Netil Market hidden around the corner.
Pig & Butcher on a Sunday No trip to London is complete until you've enjoyed a Sunday Roast and The Pig & Butcher deliver it with all the trimmings. A great local pub situated in Angel serving locally sourced produce in a cosy, rustic atmosphere. A great drinks list too. Make sure to book ahead!
